The architects Lydia Kouvatsou and Dimitris Asariotakis are both graduates of the School of Architecture of the University of Rome and became partners in 1983 when they first set up their own office.

 Sigma Construction, a construction and consulting company, was established later as a continuation of that initial business and was founded in order to provide an integrated package of design, supervision, construction, and project management services, with commitment to details and sustainability, and with full respect to the user's needs and the environment.

The company operates mainly in the field of building projects, with a focus on commercial building, private residence, the design of corporate architecture identity, renovation studies -reuse of buildings and complexes-, industrial building, interior design and decoration, organization studies- configuration retail space-, as well as the design of short-lived architectural constructions/projects such as exhibition stands.

 Ephemeral architecture takes a considerable place in the favorite topics of the architects who have repeatedly excelled both in Greece and abroad earning various awards and distinctions for their contributions throughout the world.

 

 Design principles

 Within the paradigm of the archetypal idea of architecture that is to provide the best possible ways for a human to inhabit space, the architects study a wide range of building constructions using as their only tools  minimal and pure geometry, light and the respect to the functionality of the composition serving to meet this primary Treaty of architecture.

 The anthropocentric approach is combined with the search for pioneering solutions, innovative compositions, materials and technology  allowing  the natural/physical comfort to fulfill the aesthetic pleasure of living and moving through  space.
